Ariana Grande has only been an A-list pop star for a few months, but she's reportedly already developed certain diva-like habits.

Insiders say Ariana insists on being photographed on her left side, she has insanely specific hair and makeup demands, and even instructs production crews on what sort of light they should use when they film her.

It all brings to mind another famously demanding pop princess - but don't dare compare Ariana to Mariah Carey.

Yes, before Mariah's split with Nick Cannon began making tabloid headlines, the iconic songstress earned the contempt of Ariana fans following reports that she'd thrown subtle shade at Grande during an interview.

Asked about Ariana in a radio interview, Mariah first replied, "Who?" before adding, "I wish everyone the best of luck and if this is the career path they choose, I wish them longevity."\

Many took it as Mariah's way of suggesting that Ariana is a flash in the pan. Star magazine reports that no one was more upset by the comments than Ariana, who has apparently forbidden crew members from even mentioning Carey's name:

"Ariana was mad that Mariah dissed her in an interview," a source tells the tabloid. "It makes her furious to even hear Mariah's name. Ariana insisted that Mariah's name never be brought up in her presence."

Based on reports of her behavior, it sounds like Ariana has a lot in common with Mariah, but maybe that's part of the problem.

Currently, Ariana is dating Big Sean, she's got several successful singles and she's ready to drop a highly-anticipated new album, Perhaps Mariah's current woes serve as an unwelcome reminder that success can be incredibly tough to hold on to.

If you thought Suge Knight getting shot at a pre-VMA party was the only incident of hip hop-related violence over the weekend, you were sadly mistaken.

A man was shot five times and killed during a Wiz Khalifa performance outside of San Jose, Calif., on Saturday.

Following the shooting, police obtained a warrant to search the bus belonging to Wiz's touring partner, Young Jeezy.

TMZ reports that cops found an unregistered assault rifle and immediately took the Jeezy into custody.

The rapper is currently being held behind bars with bail set at $1 million.

It is not believed that Jeezy himself is a suspect in the murder, but police may suspect that someone in his entourage helped to instigate the violence.

Even if Jeezy is found to be in no way involved with the murder, he could still be in some serious trouble for the unlicensed weapon.

Fellow rapper Lil Wayne was imprisoned for similar charges in 2009 and ended serving a year behind bars.

Considering Jeezy's history of legal troubles - he might not be so young by the time he's released.

Could she be a mannequin of some kind? Because, seriously, are we meant to believe that this is the picture of a real person?!?

Which is a very scary thought.

Remember when MTV (music television) actually used to play music videos on TV? Yeah, we do too. Pour one out for the good ol' days...

After three years of airing 'round-the-clock music, MTV unleashed a phenomenon known as Video Music Awards upon the world in 1984.

The idea? To celebrate the artists that brought our favorite tunes to life on the small screen and intersperse said awards with live performances from those very artists.

That was probably where MTV went wrong. Or very, very right.

What happened after that first very crazy VMA show in 1984 when Madonna's "Like a Virgin" took on new life was that the ante was summarily upped.

Every musical act to come would need to bring their A-Game if they'd make headlines the next morning. Plenty of them, from Madge to Miley, managed to do just fine.

In July, a Comcast user tried to cancel his service... only to be met by the most unfriendly, unhelpful company representative in the history of customer support.

This is the exact opposite of that.

Reddit poster UranusExplorer (hehe) recently contacted Amazon because he had yet to receive a book he ordered.

At the outset of his online chat, UranusExplorer (hehe) was told he was speaking with a customer service representative named Thor.

So UranusExplorer (hehe) went along with it it and asked if he could be referred to as Odin, Thor's father in Norse mythology). The Amazon employee agreed and the following, EPIC exchange ensued:

In the following video, Victoria Justice is either paying homage to Nicki Minaj... or challenging her to a Twerk Off.

The actress/singer filmed herself shaking up a storm to Minaj's "Anaconda" this week and even stuffed her pants with a pillow to best replace Nicki's impressive backside.

On Instagram, Justice jokes that the footage features her "alter ego, Vicki Minaj."

The actual Minaj, of course, owns the music world these days.

She opened the MTV Music Awards on Sunday with a version of "Anaconda" and she just broke Miley's VEVO record.

"God is good," Minaj wrote. "As long as a nipple didn't come out to play, I'm fine…No weak links. There's no greater feeling than having ppl who inspire u and who work passionately and relentlessly to get the job done…Sorry about my zipper."

Sarah Silverman: Stoned at the Emmys? - The <b>Hollywood Gossip</b>

Sarah Silverman picked up an award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Program at the 2014 Emmys last night, and it seems the actress and comedienne may have started celebrating before she even hit the red carpet.

Even though Silverman was one of the fashion hits of the Emmys she clearly didn't want to engage in the typical "Who are you wearing?" banter so she permitted E! News' Giuliana Rancic to go through her clutch.

Apparently she should have asked for a warrant first, because she's definitely rockin' some contraband:

Later in the evening, Silverman kicked off her shoes and ran to the stage to accept her award.

Then she gave a hilarious, rambling speech in which she addressed her boyfriend as "Fancy Pants." Then she gave this press conference:

Silverman later set the record straight by saying that she only got stoned after the show, but come on...

Far be it for us to call Sarah a liar, but when Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are present and everyone thinks you're acting stone, well...that means you're really, really stoned.

Embrace it, Sarah. You work in Hollywood, which means not only is it basically legal in your state, but in you're in good company as far as celebrity stoners go:

Now that an eagle-eyed MTV cameraman caught Big Sean and Ariana Grande holding hands and basically confirmed that they're dating, there's no sense hiding it.

Case in point: He's giving her a very public shout-out!

The rapper took to Instagram to congratulate his girlfriend on the success of her new album My Everything, which hit stores right after the 2014 MTV VMAs.

"Ari's #1 in 80 countries! So great when good things happen to good people. I'm more than proud of you…" Sean wrote along with a photo of the album cover.

Ariana and Sean have been heating up since breaking up with Jai Brooks and Naya Rivera, respectively, and working together on her song "Best Mistake."

He's also the infamous whispering voice on "Problem."

"They have been friends since they made the song together," a source said. "They have been spending more time together and recently have been getting very close."

The "Bang Bang" singer and Sean are "doing great."

The hot couple seemingly confirmed their romance Sunday during the aforementioned holding of hands, and Sean's Instagram post erases any doubt.

Here's hoping it lasts, and she doesn't get engaged to him, only to keep the wedding plans and marry some other guy three months after they break up!

Seriously, that happened to Sean when Naya Rivera married Ryan Dorsey instead, using plans she made with Sean. You can't make up that kind of thing.

Things are quickly getting ugly in the Mariah Carey-Nick Cannon breakup and an unlikely source is now throwing fuel on the fire.

Nick and Mariah posing for the paps. The couple is believed to have one of Hollywood's most stable marriages.

Nick Cannon's father - a preacher named James Cannon - posted a series of bizarre Facebook messages yesterday that appeared to be thinly-veiled jabs at his soon-to-be-ex-daughter-in-law.

Some highlights:

"Heres a thing, if a man say no lies and the woman lies all the time, what should that man do?" 

"Here a thing, if a woman puts on 200 the husband like a nice slim wife, what should that man do?"

"Here a thing, if a man wants to have ten children and his wife only wants two children, then what should that man do?"

And here's where it really gets scandalous:

"If a man tells a wife to have an abortion and she [has] it anyway, what should that man do?"

Naturally, the posts gained a lot of attention and James quickly deleted them. He now claims that they were simply excerpts from a book that he's writing. 

We're gonna go out on a limb and say that that load of barely-sensical gibberish doesn't sound like the work of a man who's writing a book. 

Sources have said Nick is worried about Carey's mental state, and that he initiated the divorce out of concern for their children.

So it makes sense that James would be pissed at Mariah. And it also makes sense that Nick would insist that his dad delete the status updates in order to protect her.

In Ye Olden Days of Photography, such was not the case - and there are more than a million awkward and ill-timed photos to pay homage to the decades where pics were taken with film and no one was quite sure what the image would look like until it was developed and way, way too late.

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are certainly not wasting any time. The sexy vampire couple is already living together, according to multiple reports.

Not only that, they reportedly took this step just three weeks after they started dating, with the Twilight actress moving in with Ian in Atlanta, Ga.

That's where he lives when he's filming his hit CW series, The Vampire Diaries Season 6. With his ex-girlfriend Nina Dobrev. Not awkward at all.

No, really, sources say it actually isn't awkward.

"[Nikki] goes to set every day," the source says, adding that the lovebirds plan to also share a Los Angeles place when he's not filming TVD, too.

While living under the same roof is a big step and took place very quickly, Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed have been serious from the very beginning.

Unlike his very private relationship with Dobrev, the 35-year-old actor has been uncharacteristically public with Reed, on social media and in real life.

They even adopted a horse together. A horse!

Reed, 26, filed for divorce from husband Paul McDonald after two years of marriage in May. The couple used to double date with Ian and Nina.

Rather than an impediment, though, this is seen as a positive. "There was always an attraction," a mutual pal says of the former friends, "so it was easy to slip into dating."

It's nice to see the artist making news for something that doesn't involve her romance with Bieber, which, yes, is back on AGAIN.

Neither side has spoken on the relationship, but Justin recently published (and then deleted) a picture of him kissing Gomez on the cheek, while an insider says Bieber is happier than ever with Selena.

That's great and all - but will it last? Or will Bieber soon grow bored and restless and enamored with some supermodel?

Let's just hope Gomez doesn't have her love blinders on and that her fake hair doesn't also mean she has fake, unrealistic expectations for what a future with Justin Bieber will look like.

Taylor Swift, feminist icon? Before you raise your eyebrows, the singer opens up in a new interview about why she believes this has always been her M.O.

Even if she doesn't overtly say so or ardently push feminism, she credits Girls' Lena Dunham for opening her eyes in this regard. Allow her to explain:

"As a teenager, I didn't understand that saying you're a feminist is just saying that you hope women and men will have equal rights and equal opportunities," Swift says.

"What it seemed to me, the way it was phrased in culture, society, was that you hate men. And now, I think a lot of girls have had a feminist awakening."

Now, she says, having clearly not met Farrah Abraham, "they understand what the word means." Taylor says she is not anti-men and neither is feminist ideology.

Even when Taylor Swift was at her peak Taylor Swift-ness, her songs showed that she wasn't afraid to speak out against men and wouldn't let one define her.

Good for her for being able to "Shake It Off" when it comes to guys mistreating her, and preconceived ideas of what it means to be a feminist, we say.

As though his new $90 million contract wasn't reward enough, Jim Parsons took home the prize for Best Actor in a Comedy for the fourth time. 

But, of course, despite Parson's achievement, the real standout on the BBT crew was beloved newlywed Kaley Cuoco. And naturally, Mrs. Cuoco-Sweeting documented the evening for her millions of Instagram followers.

The gorgeous actress is the latest celebrity to take part in this fundraising event, posting a video of her Challenge online... yet doing something with it not yet seen on the Internet.

"I hope it's ok, I couldn't find any water so I'm going to use breast milk," Wilde says. "It took me all night to make this."

Is this actually breast milk Wilde dumps all over self on an apartment building rooftop? We somehow doubt it. But watch and judge for yourself:

Iggy Azalea took an epic spill from the stage she was performing on Friday night, and she's lucky to be alright, because the fall looked pretty rough.

Two nights before the MTV Video Music Awards, Azalea was rapping her hit "Fancy" during a pre-VMA party at the Avalon when she lost sight of the stage.

As you can see from the video clip above, she went down HARD.

Fortunately for Iggy Iggs, she was not hurt by the fall, which clearly took the leggy Australian rapper by surprise and appeared to be from fairly high up.

Since "you already know" she's okay, it's okay to laugh. (Boooo.)

Even better, security helped the 24-year-old back onto the stage, where she laughed it up and received a huge ovation before carrying on like a champ.

Friday was a heck of a day for pre-VMA action. A Nicki Minaj "Anaconda" dancer was bitten by a snake at a rehearsal in addition to this Iggy incident.

That was probably where MTV went wrong. Or very, very right.

What happened after that first very crazy VMA show in 1984 when Madonna's "Like a Virgin" took on new life was that the ante was summarily upped.

Every musical act to come would need to bring their A-Game if they'd make headlines the next morning. Plenty of them, from Madge to Miley, managed to do just fine.

Well, now we know who is officially Queen of the Twerk.

Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" music video has broken the record for the most views in 24 hours on VEVO, knocking Miley Cyrus and her "Wrecking Ball" from the top spot.

VEVO announced yesterday that "Anaconda" has been 19.6 million times in 24 hours, compared to Cyrus' previous record of 12.3 million video views. 

Earlier this month, Minaj threw some shade at Cyrus after Miley appeared to have mocked Nicki's latest cover art.

Last year, however, Nicki said she admired Miley's ball and said that Miley is soooo cute. 

So we're pretty sure the rivals are actually friends, though we may find out for sure tomorrow night: Minaj and Cyrus will be seated next to each other at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.

Upon learning she set a viral record, Minaj Tweeted the only appropriate response: "A$$mazing."

She also made us love her even more by taking an anti-Kim Kardashian stance in explaining the music video's prominent use of large rear ends to ABC News.

"I wanted to reinstate something. Because of the shift in pop culture, even hip-hop men are really glorifying the less curvy body," the recording artists explained. "I wanted to say, 'Hey ladies, you're beautiful.' Hopefully, this changes things."

Amen, Nicki.

Leonardo DiCaprio: Still Fat, Planning Crash Diet For Fall - The <b>...</b>

We never thought the day would come when the world would criticize Leonardo DiCaprio for his appearance, but that's exactly what happened this summer when the beloved actor packed on some major pounds.

Recent shirtless photos of DiCaprio revealed that the star had seriously let himself go...and didn't seem to mind at all.

Despite the added pounds, there didn't seem to be an ounce of shame in DiCaprio's game, as hr traveled the globe drinking, eating, and partying with new girlfriend Toni Garnn.

But as fall approaches, Leo's three-month vacation is coming to an end and the star is said to be concerned about getting back into fighting shape for a full slate of upcoming projects.

Leo is reportedly planning to give up some of his favorite foods in order to return to movie star mode by the end of October.

"He has given up pasta, and he loves pasta!" a source tells Star magazine. "He also plans on working out more and he is taking his bike wherever he goes."

The insider adds that Leo has vowed to drop ten pounds a month.

As for Toni, well: "Of course she doesn't care," the source says. "He's Leonardo DiCaprio!"

She may not care about the weight, but how about those rumors that Leo is a minute man in bed?
