| Elizabeth Lauten to Sasha and Malia Obama: Try Showing a Little <b>...</b> Posted: 30 Nov 2014 04:17 AM PST Elizabeth Lauten, an aide to a Tennessee Congressman, is under fire for posting a Facebook rant calling out the daughters of U.S. President Barack Obama. Following the POTUS' annual pardoning of a Thanksgiving turkey - a silly but harmless White House tradition - Lauten tore into his two teenage girls. Sasha and Malia Obama were apparently not as transfixed by the pardon ceremony as this Congressional aide would have appreciated, thankyouvermuch. Lauten, obviously, took to Facebook to lecture the pair: "Dear Sasha and Malia, I get your both in those awful teen years but you're a part of the First Family. Try showing a little class. At least respect the part you play." "Then again, your mother and father don't respect their positions very much, or the nation for that matter, so I'm guessing you're coming up a little short in the 'good role model' department." "Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot in a bar." Yeah. Possibly a bit over the line at the end there. The communications director for Rep. Steven Fincher (R) and one-time media manager for the Republican National Committee soon felt the backlash. After being called "mean," "thoughtless," "ignorant," and many more things not suitable for print on a family celebrity gossip website, Lauten apologized. "After many hours of prayer, talking to my parents, and re-reading my words online," she said she wished she had not make the controversial comments. "I can see more clearly just how hurtful my words were," an apologetic Lauten said. "Please know, those judgmental feelings truly have no place in my heart." The original post has either been deleted or made private. All in all, it's just further proof that partisan bitterness can't even take Thanksgiving off. Can't we all just get along? Or at least rant against something universally reviled? You know, like Michelle Obama's healthy school lunches?  |
| Kim Kardashian: So Thankful for North West! - The <b>Hollywood Gossip</b> Posted: 29 Nov 2014 11:36 AM PST It may not be alluring as photos of Kim Kardashian nude. But it's far more adorable. Kim Kardashian has posted a new picture online in honor of Thanksgiving, giving Instagram followers a fresh look at daughter North West and penning as a caption that she's so "thankful" for her "best friend."  Little Nori looks all grown up in the image, as she stands around in a black furry coat with matching pants and shoes. She's also rocking some diamond earrings and her black hair is pulled back in a small bun. Kim has been publishing more and more pictures of her child as North grows older. She says she'd be fine with North posing naked someday, which is a VERY disturbing thought, and she's also been open of late about her plans to have a second child with Kanye West. There's been some talk of Kardashian using a surrogate for this second baby, but that rumor has seemingly been put to rest. We'll likely find out the truth soon, but, in the meantime, no matter what you may think her mother, one has to admit North West is pretty darn adoable, isn't she? | Kendall Jenner Goes Public with Burn Book, Calls Out Haters - The <b>...</b> Posted: 29 Nov 2014 05:23 AM PST Kendall Jenner has gone all Mean Girls on her critics. The half-sister of Khloe, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian has filmed a video for Dazed magazine in which she takes a literal page from that beloved comedy. In the following footage, we see Kendall jotting down insults from her critics, such as those who think she's only a model due to her family connections and those who think she once "made out with a hot dog." It's a pretty creative way of getting back at the haters, we must admit. Take a look now:  Kendall Jenner Burn Book Kendall Jenner will never be a real model... Kendall Jenner is a spoiled brat... Kendall Jenner is ugly, evil and greedy... It's crazy to think North West can already read better than Kendall Jenner. Do you agree with these disses? Do you think Kendall has only succeeded in the fashion industry to her last name? And/or do you give Kendall props for responding to the criticism in this manner? And could you ever imagine Kim Kardashian doing anything remotely this original? We must hand it to Kendall for actually showing some kind of personality here. | Roseanne Barr Tweets Bloody Face Photo, Jokes About "Tussle <b>...</b> Posted: 28 Nov 2014 05:00 AM PST Roseanne Barr spent her Thanksgiving this year backtracking from a joke most Twitter followers believe went way too far. Late Wednesday night, the comedian posted a photo of her swollen/ravaged face online, quipping that she just "got in a tussle w bill cosby" and "U shoyld see that mfer." The former sitcom star later deleted the picture and the caption and explained that the following image was due to a "chemical peel" she got to "look more sexier."  Barr, of course, was originally joking about the ongoing Bill Cosby scandal in which that legendary actor finds himself at the center of numerous sexual assault allegations. Multiple women have come forward over the past few weeks and accused Cosby of drugging them and raping them, with most alleged cases having taken place in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Most recently, celebrities such as Michelle Hurd and Janice Dickinson have joined the long list of accusers. Cosby has remained awkwardly mum on the issue (below), while his attorney has released a handful of statement that deny all allegations made against his client.  Bill Cosby Shoots Down Sexual Assault Questions However, it's clear where Barr stands on the controversy. "I don't wanna get sued or have [Cosby] send anyone to beat me up, but I think it's obvious: 13 to 1," Barr told The New York Daily News in regard to the number of women who have come forward against Cosby. Roseanne adds that this situation "is the best and the worst thing. It's horrible when you peel back the curtain and see what's behind it, but it's so great that people now have the capacity to actually look at the truth and see how it adds up." | Dancing with the Stars Champions: Who's the Best? - The <b>...</b> Posted: 29 Nov 2014 06:00 AM PST Another season of Dancing with the Stars came to an entertaining end this week. And, when all was said, done, juked and jived, former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actor Alfonso Ribeiro was voted the latest champion, taking home the mirror ball trophy with partner Witney Carson. Based on the history of winners through this competition's storied history, Ribeiro was a surprise victor. He's not an ex-athlete. He hasn't won a single medal in any Olympic Games. But one should never underestimate the power of The Carlton. The soap star captured the first-ver mirror ball, while Mazo never again finished higher than eighth on Dancing with the Stars. Where, however, does Alfonso Ribeiro rank among all-time Dancing with the Stars first place finishers?
