Jonah Hill Apologizes Again For Gay Slur on Tonight Show, Makes ... Posted: 04 Jun 2014 04:13 AM PDT An emotional Jonah Hill went on the The Tonight Show Tuesday night to offer a second, sincere apology for his homophobic outburst at a photographer. Hill lost his cool after being followed by several photographers while walking with a friend in Los Angeles' Larchmont district over the weekend. When one paparazzo tried to elicit a response by teasing him about his outfit, Hill, who admits he "sucks at being a famous person," took the bait. Jonah's gay slur - "suck my d--k, you f----t" - went viral immediately. He won praise for his prompt and sincere apology on Howard Stern's radio show yesterday, and offered an encore of sorts to Jimmy Fallon. Acknowledging the gravity of his anti-gay language, Hill asked The Tonight Show host if he could talk to the audience on his program as well. The actor looked mortified as he tried to explain that he was upset and just wanted to use "the most hurtful word I could think of at that moment." "I didn't mean it in the sense of the word, I didn't mean it in a homophobic way," he said, his voice cracking with emotion. "I think that doesn't matter." "How you mean things doesn't matter. Words have weight and meaning. The word I chose was grotesque and no one deserves to say or hear words like that." "My heart's broken and I am genuinely and deeply sorry to anyone who has ever been affected by that term in their life," the 30-year-old star continued. Hill insists he's not looking for forgiveness as he doesn't think he deserves it, but does hope his actions can serve as a life lesson to his young fans: "Use me as an example of what not to do," he urged, "and don't respond with hatred or anger. Because you're just adding more ugliness to the world." |
Emma Roberts Bikini Selfie: Hot in Hawaii! - The Hollywood Gossip Posted: 05 Jun 2014 08:37 AM PDT Emma Roberts is engaged to Evan Peters, but that doesn't mean Julia's niece can't continue to flaunt her curves for her adoring public. "Wish you were here," Emma wrote on Instagram along with the above photo. We're sure many of her male fans wish they could join her as well. Emma and Evan are chilling in Hawaii at the moment, and in addition to the fact that Emma is certainly easy on the eyes, this photo is an encouraging sign that all is finally well for the troubled young couple. In July of 2013, Emma was arrested for domestic violence following a dispute with Peters. The incident became instant tabloid fodder and a messy breakup seemed all but guaranteed. Shortly after that ugly episode, however, Roberts and Peters were spotted getting close on the set of American Horror Story, seeming as though they'd patched things up just days after Emma's arrest. So yeah, after all that it's good to see these two young actors have persevered and are evidently still planning to get married. Sometimes a simple beach selfie is worth a thousand words. Justin Bieber: Extorted for $1 Million Over Racist Video - The ... Posted: 04 Jun 2014 03:17 AM PDT According to a new report, Justin Bieber had the opportunity to prevent his racist joke from ever going public over the weekend. As long as he forked over $1 million. Indeed, an insider tells TMZ that reps for the artist were approached two months ago by an attorney for someone who worked on one of Bieber's video projects. This dishonest individual found the embarrassing footage (of a 15-year old Bieber dropping the N Word) on Justin's hard drive... stole it... and held it for a $1 million ransom. But Bieber and his team held strong, turning the offer down. They maintained this stance even as the lawyer continued to call, eventually asking for only $500,000 a week prior to the tape's release. Justin's reps said no, telling the man he "wasn't even in the ballpark" and not fearing the video going viral because they didn't think it would cause much damage. In the end, thanks to a heartfelt apology from Bieber, they were proven correct. While the video made news for about 72 hours, many African-Americans rushed to Justin's defense and, combined with Bieber's sincere words of regrets, most have already cast this incident off as a mistake made by a young teenager. |
