In pictures taken on Friday, the word appears three times in large lettering on the comedian's star, which is located at 6982 Hollywood Boulevard, near the El Capitan Theatre. See a photo of the defaced Hollywood Walk of Fame star below. Cosby, of course, finds himself in the middle of a major controversy over rape allegations. Nearly two dozen women claim to have been sexually assaulted by the showbiz icon over a period of several decades. Many of the accusers have come forward in recent weeks, after media attention on older allegations against Cosby intensified. Earlier this week, Cosby's upcoming shows in Tarrytown, New York were canceled. He resigned from the Board of Trustees at Temple University, and was stripped of his honorary title by the U.S. Navy. While some celebrities, including Whoopi Goldberg and Azealia Banks, have come forward to support the embattled comedian, condemnation has been widespread. Cosby has remained largely silent on the allegations, although he fired back at one accuser, Judy Huth, who says in a new lawsuit that he sexually assaulted her at the Playboy Mansion when she was 15. Cosby's legal team called Huth's case an attempt at extortion. UPDATE: The star has been cleaned up. "When people are unhappy with one of our honorees, we would hope that they would project their anger in more positive ways then to vandalize a California state landmark," the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce wrote in a statement. And it's just so gosh darn adorable! This is the best Christmas gift you'll receive this year. You're welcome! Over the past few days, we've documented especially cute instances of a pug taking a bath and a French bulldog singing Josh Groban - but the photo gallery above makes it clear that all breeds can look like a boss while rocking this festive attire. Says Veterinarian Marty Becker: "When it comes to cold-weather clothing for dogs, I recommend that owners of three kinds of canine consider sweaters or other clothing: small dogs, dogs who are elderly or ill, and greyhounds, whippets or dogs with similar body types that carry very little fat, especially if they have short hair." That's fine and all, Dr. Becker. But the proper answer is that ALL dogs should wear sweaters for Christmas. That much is evident, don't you think? |
| Damien Gurganious Dies; The Biggest Loser Star Was 38 - The <b>...</b> Posted: 04 Dec 2014 01:37 PM PST Damien Gurganious, a fan favorite on The Biggest Loser Season 7, has passed away at the age of 38. He died November 24, according to reports. Gurganious, who celebrated his birthday just one week before, suffered a sudden onset of an autoimmune disorder that caused bleeding in his brain.  "He was a pillar of his family, an amazing son, brother, cousin and uncle," his family said in a statement. "He was an incredible husband and father to his two-year old daughter, Giselle." "He was an inspiration and a mentor to so many." "His love for his family and friends was immense." Gurganious and Nicole Brewer, at the time his fiance, appeared on the NBC reality show in January 2009 and were eliminated in the third week. They married in August of that year. Nicole recently paid tribute to her loving husband on her Facebook page, writing with a heavy heart, "As most of you know, I never post on social media." "So, it is highly ironic and deeply sad that my first true post is to inform you of the tragic loss of my beloved husband, Damien Gurganious," "Damien suffered from the sudden onset of a rare autoimmune disorder, Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP), which caused inoperable bleeding in his brain." "All of you who knew Damien can attest to his generous and loving spirit, his outgoing and gregarious personality, and his caring and compassionate nature." "Damien always desired to bring out the best in those around him by offering encouragement, support and love, often couched in his own hilarious and sage adages." The popular weight loss competition is off tonight, but if you watch The Biggest Loser online, next week's episode will air an "in memoriam" card. In the meantime, friends of Gurganious have set up "The Damien Gurganious Family Fund" website for those who'd like to help Nicole and Giselle. R.I.P. Damien. |
