In a move that might not surprise many former Gossip Girl viewers, Ed Westwick has just been cast as a serial killer.

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Westwick, who played scheming Chuck Bass for the six seasons of the CW soap, is the latest actor to board ABC anthology L.A. Crime. The ABC Studios pilot from Steven Baigelman has cast Westwick as the titular criminal: one half of a Bonnie and Clyde-esque serial-killing team. Westwick will play Kent, affectionately referred to as the "creepy murderer."

He joins previously announced talent Erika Christensen (Betty), Darrell Britt-Gibson (Diver) and Taissa Farmiga (Karen) — among many others.

Billed as a "character-driven, crime procedural that explores sex, politics and popular culture across various noteworthy eras in L.A. history," L.A. Crime will mix up the narrative each season — should it in fact go to series and find success. The first series focuses on two Angeleno cops on the trail of the killers tearing through the rock 'n' roll- and coke-infused revelry of the 1980s Sunset Strip.

Westwick is repped by WME and Affirmative Entertainment.

Ray J Coming Back To "Love & Hip Hop: <b>Hollywood</b>" | <b>Gossip</b> Cop

Ray J is coming back to "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood." After quitting the show earlier this week because of concerns about its effect on his troubled relationship with girlfriend Princess Love, he has negotiated a new contract and struck a compromise with producers. TMZ reports that the two sides reconciled thanks to Ray J and Princess Love's Wednesday night dinner with "Love & Hip Hop" creator Mona Scott.

According to the outlet, Ray J agreed to return to the show if producers promised to give a more balanced portrayal of his relationship with Princess Love, including moments that show the couple in a more positive light. Scott agreed, as long as camera-friendly drama stays in the show, too. Ray J also received ratings bonuses as part of the new agreement.

To be fair to the "Love & Hip Hop" team, it's not as though Ray J and Princess Love have had a smooth relationship. Last month, she was arrested for domestic abuse and battery after she allegedly beat him at their hotel in New Orleans. Princess Love is said to have threatened to "kill" Ray J during the incident, although he was the one who ultimately bailed her out of jail and paid her legal expenses.

Malik Yoba: Fired From Empire For Drug Use? - The <b>Hollywood</b> <b>...</b>

Posted: 20 Mar 2015 07:45 AM PDT

If you caught the season finale of Empire, then you know that Vernon Turner got literally whacked - accidentally murdered with a blunt object in one of the series' most surprising scenes.

We would've given you a spoiler alert, but we feel like our headline kinda let the cat out of the bag already. Besides, if we didn't ruin it for you, some jerk on your Facebook feed would've, anyway.

Needless to say, barring a flashback or a sweeps week plot twist involving a Ouija board, actor Malik Yoba's time on the hit series is at an end.

As you might expect, he's not happy about it, as evidenced by this interview with TMZ:

Malik Yoba Talks Empire Finale

Yoba is not the first to offer the explanation that Fox insisted someone needed to be killed off in the series finale.

However, it's a bit strange for a network to offer such specific instructions about a show's direction, particularly when the show is as popular as Empire.

So perhaps it's not surprising that other explanations for the somewhat random killing have been circulating online. One of the popular rumors involves Yoba's alleged drug use.

Apparently, the actor was struggled with addiction in the past, and a source close to the show says Yoba was back on drugs and "making everyone on set uncomfortable."

The insider says Fox execs caught wind of the actor's troubles and insisted that showrunner Lee Daniels give him the boot.

Neither Yoba nor Daniels has spoken publicly on the rumor and it's unlikely that will ever a definitive answer on why Yoba was cut from the cast.

All we can say for certain is that the writers could've chosen a more dignified exit for the man than being conked on the head. What a way to get fired...

This is honestly too cute!

We sometimes forget that celebrity children are so young, but seeing Suri Cruise celebrating at the Kids' Choice Awards definitely reminds us that she is, in fact, a kid!

Suri and her mom Katie Holmes got photographed having a blast amongst some Nickelodeon blimp confetti, and it might be the happiest pick of the pair we've ever seen.

We wonder what was happening that made Suri smile so big!?

Between Katie and Suri and Angelina Jolie and Shiloh, it seems that this year's KCAs was definitely a family affair.

Do U think she's a Directioner or is she part of the 5SOS Fam!?

Ray J has reportedly quit "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood." According to TMZ, the performer believes that he cannot repair his troubled relationship with Princess Love while still on the reality show, and has decided to leave it behind for the time being. Gossip Cop has reached out to rep for both Ray J and VH1 for confirmation. We will have updates.

The outlet reports that Ray J would have been willing to stick with the show if his scenes were "uplifting and free of strife," but that he did not want to continue to promote negativity. When producers supposedly passed on his suggestion to shoot conflict-free scenes, Ray J walked.

Last month, Princess Love was arrested for domestic abuse and battery after she allegedly beat Ray J at their hotel in New Orleans. The incident is said to have occurred after Ray J spent an evening with TV producers at a strip club. One eyewitness claimed Princess Love threatened to "kill" Ray J, although he was the one who eventually bailed her out of jail and paid her legal fees.

Ray J has yet to mention his reported departure from "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" on social media. On Tuesday afternoon, he used Twitter and Instagram to promote "Hollywood Hillbillies," the Reelz Channel show on which he serves as executive producer. Princess Love has also stayed quiet about the report to this point. Gossip Cop will have updates.

Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor: First Look! - The <b>Hollywood Gossip</b>

Posted: 25 Mar 2015 09:17 AM PDT

Jesse Eisenberg is set to take on a role that makes Mark Zuckerberg look like Mother Teresa.

The Oscar-nominated actor will star as iconic villain Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the Zack Snyder-directed blockbuster that will hit theaters on March 25, 2016.

Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor

"He's not any of the Lexes that you've seen, that's for sure," Snyder tells Entertainment Weekly, which just debuted the first photo of Eisenberg as Luther.

Except, the director notes, this version of Superman's nemesis is still "a captain of industry and one person to the world and another person to himself. And bald, of course."

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will bring back Henry Cavill as Superman, while Ben Affleck is on board as Batman. Much to the chagrin of many critics around the nation.

We also know that Gal Gadot will play Wonder Woman and a cameo by Aquaman sets up 2017's Justice League.

But Snyder is focused on Eisenberg's Lex Luthor at the moment.

"Our Lex is disarming and he's not fake," he teases. "He says what he believes and he says what's on his mind. If you can unravel the string and decipher what he means, it's all there."

Are you excited for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice?
