Josh Duggar Enters Rehab, Gets SLAMMED By <b>...</b> - Celebrity <b>Gossip</b>

Posted: 26 Aug 2015 10:43 AM PDT

In a surprise move, Josh Duggar has entered rehab today as a result of his recent sexual misconduct.

TMZ is reporting that Duggar is seeking treatment at an undisclosed location for issues remain unspecified, but are clearly tied to his recent scandals.

Generally, matters such as Josh's indiscretions are dealt with "in house," or within the Duggars' spiritual community.

When Josh received counseling from church elders after he molested five young girls in the early 2000s, this was infamously the case.

The fact that Josh is seeking a more conventional form of treatment is an indication of just how seriously his family is taking this latest scandal.

After admitting to cheating on his wife and suffering from an addiction to pornography, one can see why any parents would be concerned.

Josh's parents, Jim Bob and Michelle, have issued an uncharacteristically critical statement to the press regarding teh decision:

"His wrong choices have deeply hurt his precious wife and children and have negatively affected so many others."

"He has also brought great insult to the values and faith we hold dear."

The Duggars have revealed that Josh's wife, Anna Duggar, is also seeking treatment "for her heart and future."

Michelle and Jim Bob add that they are praying Josh will prove capable of "sincere change."

Is Anna finally fed up? Are the Duggars hinting that she might finally divorce Josh? We'll have updates as more information becomes available.

Danica Dillon: Josh Duggar&#39;s Cheating Partner <b>...</b> - Celebrity <b>Gossip</b>

Posted: 21 Aug 2015 10:22 AM PDT

As you've probably heard, Josh Duggar was caught cheating on his wife after the adulterers-only website Ashley Madison was hacked earlier this week.

In a statement, Duggar admitted to being "unfaithful" and claimed to suffer from an addiction to online porn.

He failed to go into specifics, however, so the Internet went digging in hopes of determining just how "unfaithful" Josh has been.

Thus far, no mistresses have come forward (which is a bit surprising in 2015), but Radar Online claims to have the scoop on Josh's cheating partner.

That's Danica Dillon - a porn star and "cam girl" who Josh "liked" on his secret Facebook page.

While he was "friends" with dozens of young women, Dillon was apparently the only sex worker with whom Josh interacted on social media.

Radar reports that Dillon has been offering private webcam shows online since 2009.

Since Josh's Ashley Madison account (which cost him almost $1000) proves that he was willing to pay for sex, and he befriended Dillon online several years ago, it's not too much of a leap to assume that at some point, they engaged in interactions that Josh's wife, Anna, would not have been pleased with.

Danica did not respond to Radar's request for comment, but we fully expect her - or some other object of Josh's affection - to come forward in the very near future.

Rob Kardashian to Khloe Instagram Trolls: I F <b>...</b> - Celebrity <b>Gossip</b>

Posted: 23 Aug 2015 11:25 AM PDT

Rob Kardashian is at it again with his bizarre Instagram antics, although this time he's not slamming his sisters ... rather those who hate on them.

Reports of Kris Jenner and the Kardashian family pushing Rob over the edge have been running rampant this year as he remains largely reclusive.

He's threatened to sue Kris Jenner, infamously compared Kim to the "psycho bitch" from Gone Girl and recently shunned Kylie Jenner's birthday.

While instead paying tribute to Paul Newman, obviously.

We recently reported that Rob made peace with Kim, but his mental health woes, anxiety, depression and other issues remain causes for concern.

Even if he's back in his sisters' good graces, and vice versa, his whereabouts are shrouded a mystery and his stability questionable at best.

Case in point? A swimsuit photo of Khloe and Kendall Jenner on Instagram, posted by the former, who was prominently rocking a Compton hat.

A hater trolling Khloe's account commented, "How many times have you been to Compton," implying (harmlessly) she has no business wearing it.

Enter Rob Kardashian, getting his sister's back:

"About as many times as I f--ked your momma. So about 8 times," he wrote, adding for classic measure, "man she gave up that pu--y quick THO."

Yeah. Dude is kind of a loose cannon ... at best.

Again, we know defending Khloe is worlds apart from likening Kim to a sociopath and murderer, but it's no surprise Kris Jenner is in a panic.

Too bad he's 28, otherwise she'd likely try to cut him off from the family fortune, or put parental blocks on his phone to keep him off social media.

Who are we kidding, she probably has tried.

Catelynn Lowell & Tyler Baltierra: Married!!! - The <b>Hollywood Gossip</b>

Posted: 23 Aug 2015 08:53 AM PDT

After two kids and five seasons of MTV-televised drama, Teen Mom stars Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra have finally tied the knot!

Us Weekly reports that Catelynn and Tyler got married yesterday in Michigan in front of 154 guests, including their younger daughter.

Cate and Ty gave up their first child, Carly, for adoption, as chronicled on the reality series; they recently welcomed and kept baby Nova.

Fellow Teen Mom cast members Amber Portwood, Maci Bookout and Kailyn Lowery were reportedly in attendance at their soiree.

Not surprisingly, Farrah Abraham was persona non grata; fans know that the couple has been openly feuding with Farrah for years.

Lowell and Baltierra got engaged back in 2011, but experienced some bumps along the way, even calling off their wedding in 2013.

The step-siblings (yes, that's how they met) made clear in a statement that they intended to remain a couple, though, and they did.

Earlier today, they confirmed the news that they've finally made it official in dual statements. Tyler gushed of his new bride:

"I believe Cate was brought into this world and destined to be loved by me, cherished by me, admired by me, and forever cared for by me."

"There is no one else I would rather be than her husband and the father of her children ... I'm so honored and blessed to be able to grow old with her."

"I always prayed one day that Ty would be my husband," Catelynn's statement says. "I am beyond blessed that my prayers came true."

Congratulations to the pair. As always, you can watch Teen Mom online at TV Fanatic to relive Catelynn and Tyler's road to the altar.

Drake and Serena Williams: Caught Making Out!!! - The <b>Hollywood</b> <b>...</b>

Posted: 24 Aug 2015 08:44 AM PDT

Rumors of Drake and Serena Williams hooking up have been circulating for months, and both parties have repeatedly insisted that they're just friends.

But if the tennis legend and the emotional emcee wanted to keep their relationship on the DL, they've should've laid off the PDA, because TMZ has photos of Drake and Serena making out at a swanky Cincinnati restaurant.

Drizzy and Serena hit up the high-end eatery Sotto to celebrate her victory at the WTA tournament in Cinci, and apparently, they couldn't wait for the check to arrive to start pawing at each other.

Of course, Serena is as famous for her curves as she is for her serves, and anyone who's seen Drake enjoy a lap dance from Nicki Minaj knows that the man is a fan of the booty.

But we're guessing their connection is about more than just off-court smashing.

Both Drake and Serena are at the top of their respective fields at the moment.

Serena is the number-one ranked female tennis player in the world, and Drake's been murdering rival Meek Mill in what might be the most lop-sided hip hop feud since the Insane Clown Posse tried to take on Eminem.

Basically, these two are all about dominance these days, so it seems only natural that they'd get together.

Winning championships is great and all, but it's about time Serena scored some love off the court.

Sam Rader: Kicked Out of Vlogger Conference for <b>...</b> - Celebrity <b>Gossip</b>

Posted: 24 Aug 2015 05:49 AM PDT

Sam Rader might being experiencing the fastest career implosion in the history of Internet celebrities, which is saying something these days.

In case you're not familiar with the name, Sam is one half of the vlogging duo Sam and Nia.

They're a self-proclaimed "good-looking" married couple who are basically trying to fill the void the Duggars left behind by recording YouTube videos about their conservative Christian beliefs, how perfect and awesome their family is, etc.

Unfortunately, like Josh Duggars, Sam has been exposed as a massive hypocrite - and it didn't take nearly as long.

Just weeks after a video in which Sam "surprises" Nia with news that she's pregnant (she conveniently forgot to flush, and he stole her pee from the toilet for a pregnancy test), Sam has been accused of lying to fans, cheating on his wife, and now, making violent threats against fellow vloggers.

Sam used an Ashley Madison account to seek out cheating partners in 2013.

Sure, it was two years ago, and Rader claims he only used it to chat, not have an actual affair, but he was still a married father of two at the time.

Like we said, he's got a lot in common with the eldest Duggar.

Sam attended a vlogging conference in Seattle this weekend, and he was kicked out for threatening other guests.

The website reached out to Sam for comment, and he confirmed the news while attempting to deny it:

"That's absolutely not true," Rader said. "If I made a threat, it was to the one person, and it was, 'You need to watch out before he messes with my family.'

The organizers of the conference and several attendees confirmed that Sam was kicked out for basically acting like a violent jerk.

Rader has promised to address the incident in an upcoming video.

We think it was Jesus who said, "When someone disses you at a vlogger fest, turn the other cheek, cuss 'em out, and then make a quick YouTube vid about it."

Amiyah Scott to Become First Transgender Real Housewives Cast <b>...</b>

Posted: 18 Aug 2015 03:35 AM PDT

According to a new report, Amiyah Scott is set to make history.

Various outlets have reported that the 27-year old model and makeup artist has been tapped to join The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

If this rumor becomes a reality, Scott will become the first-ever transgender cast member to appear on any of the Real Housewives franchises.

Scott was born as Arthur and transitioned from male to female at 17 years old.

Earlier this summer, NeNe Leakes announced that she is leaving the program that made her famous, while there's been talk of bringing Sheree Whitfield back into the fold, along with talk of Mariah Huq coming on board.

TMZ, meanwhile, says former Facts of Life star Kim Fields will make her Real Housewives of Atlanta debut on Season 8.

Filming on new episodes is already underway, with Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Cynthia Bailey, and Phaedra Parks the only confirmed series regulars at this time.

Bravo is yet to announce a premiere date and yet to confirm or deny any of these casting rumors.

What do you think, fans? Would you welcome Amiyah Scott into The Real Housewives of Atlanta fold?

Is the franchise ready for a transgender cast member?

Dr. Dre Allegations of Violence Against Women Resurface Following <b>...</b>

Posted: 18 Aug 2015 02:20 PM PDT

It's been a big week for Dr. Dre.

The NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton is officially the surprise hit of the summer, and his new album - the appropriately titled Compton - has met with mostly favorable responses from critics and audiences alike.

Unfortunately, not everyone is thrilled with the projects that have cemented Dre's place as one of hip hop's most beloved and bankable legends.

First, there were complaints about Eminem's rape reference on Compton - a shocking lyric, even by the standards of an emcee who's ability to offend is the stuff of legend.

Now, Gawker has asked former TV personality Dee Barnes - who was famously assaulted by Dre in 1991 - for her take on the acclaimed film that depicts Dre not only as a musical genius, but as a champion of the downtrodden.

"Dr. Dre straddled me and beat me mercilessly on the floor of the women's restroom at the Po Na Na Souk nightclub in 1991," Barnes writes.

"That event isn't depicted in Straight Outta Compton, but I don't think it should have been, either. The truth is too ugly for a general audience.

"I didn't want to see a depiction of me getting beat up, just like I didn't want to see a depiction of Dre beating up Michel'le, his one-time girlfriend who recently summed up their relationship this way: "I was just a quiet girlfriend who got beat on and told to sit down and shut up."

Yes, it seems Barnes isn't the only one who suffered horrific violence at the hands of Dr. Dre.

Most biopics of famous musicians tend to gloss over some of the uglier parts of their subjects' pasts. It's a compromise that comes with obtaining the rights to use their music and securing their endorsement of the project.

In Barnes case, however, the incident is well known (Dre protege Eminem even referenced it in the 1999 song "Guilty Conscience."), and many viewers have expressed shock that it was in no way acknowledged in SOC.

As Barnes said, the film could have easily addressed the incident without graphically portraying it.

Instead, it made Barnes and Dre's other victims "casualties of Straight Outta Compton's revisionist history," once again reducing them to the level of overpowered victims.

Kendall Jenner: Quitting Keeping Up With the Kardashians?! - The <b>...</b>

Posted: 14 Aug 2015 01:19 PM PDT

Keeping Up With the Kardashians has gone through a lot of changes in the past couple years, but one thing has remained constant:

The Kards make a ton of cash for doing continuing to allow E! camera crews into their lives.

Unfortunately, with the show entering its 11th season, there's no saying how that arrangement will continue, especially with cast members dropping like flies.

Rob Kardashian is still in hiding and seems to have no plans to return to the series that made his family famous.

Caitlyn Jenner has her own reality show now, and even with I Am Cait's ratings plummeting, it's unlikely that she'll ever stoop to making regular appearances on KUWTK again.

Now, the show may soon be losing one of its most popular castmates, as Hollywood Life is reporting that Kendall Jenner plans to quit KUWTK before the start of next season.

"Kendall would much rather be focusing on advancing her career," the source says. "It's hard for her to block off chunks of time to shoot the reality show."

Yes, Kendall's modeling career is her top priority these days, but the insider claims that's not her only motivation for quitting.

Apparently, momager Kris thinks it would be great for ratings if Kendall had a romantic interest on the show.

So in addition to the fact that she's already dating Nick Jonas, Kendall is reportedly a bit turned off by the idea of her mom pimping her out for ratings.

We can't help but wonder how it took her this long to be grossed out by Kris Jenner.

Kylie Jenner: Begging Family to Forgive Tyga For Cheating? - The <b>...</b>

Posted: 14 Aug 2015 05:38 AM PDT

Now that Kylie Jenner is 18, sources say she's ready to go public with her 25-year-old boyfriend, Tyga. (Not that they're being subtle now.)

Before she does, however, Kylie reportedly wants everything to be just right - which means that she wants her family's blessing.

Apparently, that's been hard to come by, and not for the obvious reasons. (Did we mention that Tyga is 25 and Kylie just turned 18?)

No, it seems that Kardashian-Jenner clan is still justifiably pissed about the allegations that Tyga cheated with Mia Isabella.

Kylie's family is fed up with Tyga.

They're not just begrudgingly pissed, either; they're actively encouraging her to dump him rather than announce the relationship publicly.

Says a source close to the famous reality family:

"The whole family is desperate for her to ditch this guy. He's been bad news from the start, but she's just too naïve to see through his lies."

Now, Kylie is reportedly begging her family to give Tyga another chance. But sources say she's also given the rapper an ultimatum:

Find a way to get back in my family's good graces, or we're through.

One insider claims that Kylie wants to go confirm her relationship to fans in two weeks, but she'll only do so if both sides have reached a detente.

And right now, the ball is in Tyga's court ... for what it's worth.

"She's give him an impossible task," explains the insider.

"No one want to have anything to do with him and the moment she dumps him, he's going to find himself with some very powerful enemies."

Sounds like it's tough times for T-Raww. And he thought dating a minor was tough! Think he can pull a rabbit out of his hat here? Discuss!

Sherri Shepherd Opens Up About Surrogate Drama - Celebrity <b>Gossip</b>

Posted: 13 Aug 2015 07:12 AM PDT

It's been close to four months since a judge ruled Sherri Shepherd is the legal mother a baby born via a surrogate mother last August.

The former co-host of The View has been the subject of significant media criticism during the bizarre custody battle.  And now, she is finally opening up about the custody drama with her ex-husband Lamar Sally.

"My situation was a sense of, I didn't state what I needed and what I wanted and what I didn't want for being scared of somebody leaving the relationship," Shepherd told People Magazine on August 12.

"There are consequences to everything, but I was scared to say, 'That's not going to work for me. I don't want that.'"

After Sherri and Lamar married in 2011, the couple decided on a surrogate pregnancy using Sally's sperm and a donor egg.

But before the baby was born, Sherri and Lamar were embattled in a bitter dispute of financial responsibility of the baby.  Sherri was ordered to pay child support after she was legal declared the child's mother.

"I'm the type of person I feel like as long as you can get up, you have another chance," she said.

Shepherd added, "I've gone through stuff a nasty divorce, nasty custody battle but for me, I get up and I smile. I go through it and I make it through."

In April, a Pennsylvania judge declared that Shepherd is to be officially listed as the child's mother.

"I am appealing the ruling that happened and he gets his settlement every month," she said. "He's happy. There nothing I can do. It's out of my hands. You move on and I have a son. I have to take care of him so everything is good."

Her ex-husband has been very public about his feelings toward Shepherd and about the custody battle.  But mum has been the word for Shepherd.

"As long as the people who know me, know my heart and they know my love for my son and my character and integrity. That's all I have to stand on," she said.

"As long I can look at myself in the mirror and look up and go 'Did I do what you told me to do' I'm good."

Shepherd also has Jeffery, the 10-year-old son she shares with ex-husband Jeffrey Tarpley.

Michael Wolff on Trump, Cosby, Caitlyn and the New <b>Gossip</b> Culture <b>...</b>

This story first appeared in the August 21, 2015 issue of The Hollywood Reporter. To receive the magazine, click here to subscribe.

There is hardly a better example of the power and value of the New York Post's "Page Six" than Donald Trump. Despite Rupert Murdoch's recent tweets against him, Trump is a Murdoch gossip creation. Near-constant coverage during the 1980s and '90s of his marriages, his posturing and his bling, together with Trump's own deep and prescient understanding that publicity is a golden currency — hence his ardent cultivation of the Post and "Page Six" — turned him from middling real estate developer into personal brand, national figure, reality show star and now, extraordinarily, frontrunner Republican presidential candidate.

King of All Media Outrage: Trump arguably dominated the first Republican debate, despite (or because of) his social media hostility.

And hardly just that. Defying all reasonable programming expectations, Trump single-handedly made the Aug. 6 debate a monster hit. The lion's share of that audience certainly wasn't tuning in to watch a bunch of politicians.

Quite the extraordinary realization is that a generation or two ago, most news was event- and institution-driven, with the personalities involved, bystanders and great men alike, treated in formal and remote fashion — apparently still the retro expectation of most politicians: ever dull, impersonal and stiff.

Evader-in-Chief: 30,000 of Hillary Clinton's emails may have disappeared, but the scandal around them won't.

Nothing so much has changed journalism, the entertainment industry and the greater public discussion as the personalization of news, that decadeslong trend that has exponentially increased in fervor in the digital age and has its apotheosis in Trump.

Gossip, once a small-time Hollywood side-show, now has major-news status, with the fate and fortune of public figures — and not a few private ones — a reflection of how well they play and court the gossip and personality press or how roused and angry it gets in pursuit of them.

The Cosby Corollary: When the star's alleged sexual assaults were elevated from rumor to news, more women felt empowered to come forward.

Trump might just as logically have been a subject of media scorn and scandal — indeed, the large field of his political opponents seems wholly confounded that he is not — rather than a figure of epochal excitement and importance (at least in his and the media's view). Likewise, Caitlyn Jenner might as easily have been a story about shame and reproach, a deer in the headlights pursued by the paparazzi, rather than someone of near-historic stature — an outcome that arguably is less about changing times than about a practiced and cunning handling of the gossip press.

Mystery Mogul: Sumner Redstone's absence from the public eye has stoked speculation about his health and Viacom's future.

On the other side, Bill Cosby's accusers, who in the past might not have had a voice in the celebrity-dominated press and whose claims were all but ignored for a decade or more, now fuel its inverse reflex: to expose and dismantle the pretenses and con jobs of the rich and famous.

Gawker's reporting on plans for a gay tryst by a married publishing executive without public profile or significance, a kind of moral vigilantism, was met by a level of opprobrium and revulsion that might seem to draw a line in the sand about the ever-greater gossipification of news and culture. But, as likely, it merely suggests that the subtleties and high politics of the gossip world — stretching from "Page Six" through to Gawker, with celebrity magazines, tabloid TV-news shows, paparazzi sites like TMZ, reality stars like the Kardashians and sex tapes in between — can elude practitioners, as well as subjects. For all involved, it's a high-wire act, not least of all because so much is so nakedly at stake.

The New Gawker: The site will be "20 percent nicer" — or maybe just "10 to 15 percent," a chastened Nick Denton reportedly told staffers in July.

Gossip columns always have been a journalism power center, allowing a spin that operated outside of conventional reporting standards, uniquely susceptible to entreaties and deals and suited to no-fingerprint knifings.

Murdoch has accepted the New York Post's losses, reaching as high as $100 million a year, largely because of the clout of its gossip franchise. "Page Six" became the official tool of Murdoch favor and hazing, the way to reward his friends and to punish his enemies.

From Tabloid Fodder to LGBT Heroine: Caitlyn Jenner's expertly handled transgender transition made her an icon of courage.

At the same time, outsiders also could play the "Page Six" game. You could hardly function in the PR business representing any aspect of the news, music, sports or entertainment industries or any enterprise related to those businesses (fashion, restaurants, publishing) without having a relationship with "Page Six" — and trading favors for plugs and protection. PR man Howard Rubenstein, who counts both Trump and the Post among his clients, made himself into a central New York power broker because of his relationship with "Page Six." The Post and "Page Six" became a tip sheet for the rest of the tabloid-news and entertainment-media complex, supplying the ever-more-popular gossip narrative — Trump's one of the foremost among them.

But then, with the rise of the Internet, gossip came under a seemingly dramatic revision. It went from a game for insiders to a game of outsiders. Nick Denton's Gawker, with its Robin Hood mission, was out to take glory and satisfaction from the successful and celebrated and spread Schadenfreude among an outsider class. (Murdoch himself in 2007 joked that he had to buy The Wall Street Journal to stay ahead of Gawker — although he called it "Stalker.")

Wrestling With the Truth: Hulk Hogan's sex-tape lawsuit against Gawker could bankrupt the site.

What heretofore was gossip — even at "Page Six," they still were unabashedly gossip columnists — became at Gawker something of a political act. Gawker explicitly made the connection between its coverage and what it saw as the hypocrisy and iniquity of the new ruling class. Success itself became a reason to target you. Gossip was an activist's new weapon.

"Page Six" Paterfamilias: Murdoch's New York Post was the early frontier of the gossip revolution.

Gawker and its staff of young writers, few who had professional experience beyond Gawker itself, came to believe that their trade was a kind of muckraking journalism — a truth mission, even. What might seem like mere gossip really was the thread of a greater conspiracy, with sex the ultimate symbol of the patriarchal plot. In a kind of left-wing moralism combining feminism and economic populism (though gossip in Murdoch's world — and, before that, in the Hearst-dominated gossip press — largely was a right-wing conceit, the Internet took it left), tinged with a Lord of the Flies kind of empowerment, anything but the most conventional sexual behavior on the part of successful men was exploitation and depravity worth exposing.

Indeed, the willingness of the news media, particularly the Internet news media, to print the heretofore unprintable changed the tenor and method of public combat: Allegations in legal filings, no matter how unsubstantiated, can instantly become significant news. Accusations are real. (All enterprising news organizations now have reporters dedicated to combing court filings precisely for these sorts of vivid — all the more vivid because they are one-sided — personal attacks.) And nobody is gossip-proof.

Yet while gossip is a game of manipulations and hucksterism, payoffs and paybacks, political alliances and pure pugilism — e.g., Trump's indefatigable threats, lawsuits, insults and bullying — that vastly undermines any idea of objective news coverage, it is strangely uncontrollable too, inventing its own peculiar moral framework.

At its heart, and at its most riveting, gossip bridges the space between public illusion and private reality; its news value, and frisson, is in the deconstruction of hypocrisy, targeting the sweet spot in public consciousness — that widespread belief that the real story is never told, that no one is who they say they are (unless, of course, like Trump and the retinue of reality stars, you stand proud and naked, ridiculous and moronic, before the gossip press).

Curiously, Gawker, in its attack on the hapless publishing executive, found itself on the wrong side of gossip's moral equation. It was Gawker that now seemed to have the opaque agenda and unctuous morals, its own purity undercut by its fetishistic interests. It was not even so much that the site had harmed an innocent person, but that it seemed weird and creepy about it. Gawker was the pervy party, suddenly caught in the headlights. Or, put another way, Gawker committed the ultimate gossiper's sin: It took itself too seriously. That's the quicksilver attribute of the gossip media and the ideal gossip personality: never for it to be entirely clear if you are in earnest or just kidding. That's ultimate deniability.

Such a sleight of hand and fine tonal calibration make everybody else look suspect and insincere, the pained condition of most modern politicians. Hence, the once and future Trump — with always a next chapter, perhaps the longest running tale in modern gossip history. (Gawker, whose very mission is to bring down someone like Trump, has not been able to touch him, feebly trying to ding him by publishing his phone number, a tactic borrowed from Trump himself.) Laughing with him merges with laughing at him, which, in some ultimate defense against political and media rectitude, aligns his personality with every expectation.

Constantine Maroulis: Arrested For Domestic <b>...</b> - Celebrity <b>Gossip</b>

Posted: 13 Aug 2015 02:45 AM PDT

Former American Idol contestant Constantine Maroulis was arrested on Wednesday for domestic violence following an alleged attack on his ex.

Angel Reed, the mother of his 4-year-old daughter, told officers that Maroulis had thrown her on the ground before kicking her in the groin.

Maroulis' rep denied her allegation and said that Reed had thrown things and taken a swing at her ex-boyfriend during their altercation.

"He consequently left their home to protect himself and to diffuse the situation," the rep said. "Sometime later the local police came."

At that point, officers "arrested him for domestic abuse."

As for why they got so heated? Maroulis and Reed dated for six years before he recently broke the news that he was leaving her.

This is reportedly what caused the alleged fight.

Maroulis was later released on bail and to quietly return to obscurity, where he has been residing since his run on Idol ages ago.
