Hope Solo Breaks Her Silence On Her Arrest! Read Her Facebook <b>...</b> Posted: 26 Jun 2014 05:23 PM PDT 6/26/2014 8:23 PM ET | Filed under: Legal Matters • Violence • Soccer This bizarre case just got that much more inneresting… We reported earlier how Hope Solo allegedly called her nephew a "p*ssy" before attacking him and his mom (Hope's sister), and how reportedly he even used a gun to try to fend her off to no avail, but now Hope has finally spoken out in her own words. Although she has since plead not guilty to both counts of domestic violence, she apparently wanted to express her apologies on the matter! Here's what she had to say for herself in a very candid post she shared on Facebook: "I would like to apologize to my fans, teammates, coaches, marketing partners and the entire US Soccer and Seattle Reign FC communities for my involvement in a highly unfortunate incident this past weekend. I understand that, as a public figure, I am held to a higher standard of conduct. I take seriously my responsibilities as a role model and sincerely apologize to everyone I have disappointed. I love my family dearly. We, like all families, have our challenges but my sincere hope is that we are able to resolve this situation as a family. Adversity has always made us stronger and I know this situation will be no different. I also would like to thank everyone who has reached out with messages of support and encouragement. I truly appreciate your loyalty, concern and well wishes. Due to pending legal issues, I cannot comment further at this time. However, I am confident in the legal process and believe my name will be cleared. I look forward to getting back on the field where I belong with both Seattle Reign FC and the US Women's National Team." We wonder why Hope would find the need to apologize if she herself was the victim of this fight as she claims to be! We'll see how Hope's legal drama develops! Gary Oldman Blasts Political Correctness, Defends Mel Gibson and <b>...</b> Posted: 24 Jun 2014 04:47 AM PDT In the latest issue of Playboy, Gary Oldman goes off on a rant that would make Kanye West proud. The veteran actor starts by saying "political correctness is crap" and no one can take a "f-cling joke" anymore. He then cited Mel Gibson as someone who has been on the raw end of this unfair stick. "He got drunk and said a few things, but we've all said those things," Oldman said of Gibson. "We're all f-cking hypocrites…. The policeman who arrested him has never used the word nigger or that f-cking Jew? I'm being brutally honest here. It's the hypocrisy of it that drives me crazy." Oldman wasn't done, either. FAR FROM IT. "Mel Gibson is in a town that's run by Jews and he said the wrong thing because he's actually bitten the hand that I guess has fed him… He's like an outcast, a leper, you know? "But some Jewish guy in his office somewhere hasn't turned and said, "That f-cking kraut" or "F-ck those Germans," whatever it is? We all hide and try to be so politically correct. That's what gets me." Oldman went on to say he doesn't "blame" Alec Baldwin for referring to a photographer by a homophobic slur because the paparazzi won't leave the actor alone. "At the Oscars, if you didn't vote for 12 Years a Slave you were a racist," he continued. "You have to be very careful about what you say. I do have particular views and opinions that most of this town doesn't share, but it's not like I'm a fascist or a racist. There's nothing like that in my history." In conclusion, Oldman is well aware how this interview will be received. "I'm saying Mel's all right, Alec's a good guy. So how do I come across? Angry? It's dishonesty that frustrates me most. I can't bear double standards. It gets under my skin more than anything."
