| Joan Rivers to Emerge From Coma, Future Uncertain - The <b>...</b> Posted: 02 Sep 2014 04:32 AM PDT Joan Rivers is expected to emerge from her coma today, as doctors began the process of waking the 81-year old from this medically-induced state on Sunday. The comedian was rushed to Mount Sinai in New York City after she stopped breathing during a throat procedure on Thursday, August 28. She was initially listed in serious condition, as daughter Melissa Rivers provided an update for fans, and then placed on life support over the weekend.  Joan Rivers: Celebrities Tweet Thoughts, Prayers "She's a strong woman, people aren't giving up hope, but it's very serious right now," an insider tells Us Weekly, while Melissa's latest statement said the family is keeping its "fingers crossed" for a miracle. "The waking-up process has begun and will take until Tuesday," a source says to The New York Daily News. "There is real concern that the part of the brain that controls motor skills may have been compromised, leaving her as either a vegetable or in a wheelchair." This possibility has the family considering a lawsuit over the botched procedure that caused Rivers to collapse. "Shock and upset is turning to anger, and they are looking for someone to blame," a person in the know tells the newspaper. Any legal action would be filed against Yorkville Endoscopy, where Rivers had what was meant to be a routine throat procedure on Thursday. "You know how polarizing she could be, but people don't realize what a fantastic lady she is, the charities that she supports, without fanfare, without people knowing," says writer and friend Jay Redack, who had dinner with Rivers the night before her throat surgery. "She is a great person."  |

| Tamra Barney: FIRED From The Real Housewives of Orange <b>...</b> Posted: 02 Sep 2014 02:04 PM PDT Tamra Barney admitted in a recent blog post that the latest season of The Real Housewives of Orange County was her "worst year" on the show. It seems that Bravo executives agree with that assessment. Radar Online reports that Tamra was fired today following an explosive reunion special and an online tirade in which she slammed Lizzie Rovsek (again).  The unlikely cause of the her termination? It seems producers believe the show had too much arguing and drama this season and they blame Tamra for constantly stirring the pot. "Bravo is actively casting for someone who is a voice of reason," says a production insider. "They want to replace [Tamra] who's stirring up too much sh-t ... the entire cast is against her." Fans love drama, of course, to a point. But the source adds that producers are worried that the constant arguing among the current cast has begun to alienate viewers: "Everyone is stirring the pot too much, the source says. So they're not necessarily looking for someone who's a sex pot or out of control." "Actually, just the opposite. They want someone who's really successful, an entrepreneur or just someone who's well respected among their peers." Wow. That is a rare feat, Tamra. When you get fired from a Bravo reality show for being too dramatic, you know it's time to see a therapist. Just saying. With Breast Milk! - The <b>...</b> Posted: 24 Aug 2014 09:25 AM PDT We didn't think it was possible at this point, but Olivia Wilde has found yet another unique spin to put on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. The gorgeous actress is the latest celebrity to take part in this fundraising event, posting a video of her Challenge online... yet doing something with it not yet seen on the Internet. "I hope it's ok, I couldn't find any water so I'm going to use breast milk," Wilde says. "It took me all night to make this." Is this actually breast milk Wilde dumps all over self on an apartment building rooftop? We somehow doubt it.
