| Iggy Azalea Falls Off Stage in Pre-VMA Concert: Not So "Fancy <b>...</b> Posted: 23 Aug 2014 11:26 AM PDT Iggy Azalea took an epic spill from the stage she was performing on Friday night, and she's lucky to be alright, because the fall looked pretty rough.  Iggy Azalea Falls Off Stage Two nights before the MTV Video Music Awards, Azalea was rapping her hit "Fancy" during a pre-VMA party at the Avalon when she lost sight of the stage. As you can see from the video clip above, she went down HARD. Fortunately for Iggy Iggs, she was not hurt by the fall, which clearly took the leggy Australian rapper by surprise and appeared to be from fairly high up. Since "you already know" she's okay, it's okay to laugh. (Boooo.) Even better, security helped the 24-year-old back onto the stage, where she laughed it up and received a huge ovation before carrying on like a champ. Friday was a heck of a day for pre-VMA action. A Nicki Minaj "Anaconda" dancer was bitten by a snake at a rehearsal in addition to this Iggy incident. Yeah, we do too. Pour one out for the good ol' days... After three years of airing 'round-the-clock music, MTV unleashed a phenomenon known as Video Music Awards upon the world in 1984. The idea? To celebrate the artists that brought our favorite tunes to life on the small screen and intersperse said awards with live performances from those very artists. That was probably where MTV went wrong. Or very, very right. What happened after that first very crazy VMA show in 1984 when Madonna's "Like a Virgin" took on new life was that the ante was summarily upped. Every musical act to come would need to bring their A-Game if they'd make headlines the next morning. Plenty of them, from Madge to Miley, managed to do just fine. In honor of the 30th MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night, let's take a walk down memory lane to relive the 17 craziest moments in VMA history ... Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" music video has broken the record for the most views in 24 hours on VEVO, knocking Miley Cyrus and her "Wrecking Ball" from the top spot. VEVO announced yesterday that "Anaconda" has been 19.6 million times in 24 hours, compared to Cyrus' previous record of 12.3 million video views. Earlier this month, Minaj threw some shade at Cyrus after Miley appeared to have mocked Nicki's latest cover art. Last year, however, Nicki said she admired Miley's ball and said that Miley is soooo cute. So we're pretty sure the rivals are actually friends, though we may find out for sure tomorrow night: Minaj and Cyrus will be seated next to each other at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards. Upon learning she set a viral record, Minaj Tweeted the only appropriate response: "A$$mazing." She also made us love her even more by taking an anti-Kim Kardashian stance in explaining the music video's prominent use of large rear ends to ABC News. "I wanted to reinstate something. Because of the shift in pop culture, even hip-hop men are really glorifying the less curvy body," the recording artists explained. "I wanted to say, 'Hey ladies, you're beautiful.' | Leonardo DiCaprio: Still Fat, Planning Crash Diet For Fall - The <b>...</b> Posted: 22 Aug 2014 12:38 PM PDT We never thought the day would come when the world would criticize Leonardo DiCaprio for his appearance, but that's exactly what happened this summer when the beloved actor packed on some major pounds. Recent shirtless photos of DiCaprio revealed that the star had seriously let himself go...and didn't seem to mind at all.  Despite the added pounds, there didn't seem to be an ounce of shame in DiCaprio's game, as hr traveled the globe drinking, eating, and partying with new girlfriend Toni Garnn. But as fall approaches, Leo's three-month vacation is coming to an end and the star is said to be concerned about getting back into fighting shape for a full slate of upcoming projects. Leo is reportedly planning to give up some of his favorite foods in order to return to movie star mode by the end of October. "He has given up pasta, and he loves pasta!" a source tells Star magazine. "He also plans on working out more and he is taking his bike wherever he goes." The insider adds that Leo has vowed to drop ten pounds a month. As for Toni, well: "Of course she doesn't care," the source says. "He's Leonardo DiCaprio!" She may not care about the weight, but how about those rumors that Leo is a minute man in bed? Toni Garnn and Leonardo DiCaprio. They've reportedly been dating for almost a year. |
